“Instructional Awareness through Creative Drama Workshop II” Held at NEVÜ
03/07/2026

As part of the Pedagogical Design Studio activities coordinated by the Office of Education and Instruction at Nevşehir Hacı Bektaş Veli University (NEVÜ), the “Instructional Awareness through Creative Drama Workshop” was held on 16 April 2026. Conducted under the supervision of Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ergin Erginer, the workshop attracted considerable interest from academics and researchers representing a wide range of disciplines.

The workshop commenced with a series of interactive activities designed to engage participants actively in the learning process. Particular emphasis was placed on the role of tactile, visual, and auditory learning in teaching and learning. During the practical sessions, activities supporting multisensory learning experiences were implemented. Music- and rhythm-based exercises fostered auditory learning, while movement- and space-oriented activities promoted tactile (kinesthetic) learning. Participants engaged in pairing, orientation, and coordination exercises that encouraged group interaction, while visual stimulus-based dramatizations enhanced their attention, perception, and meaning-making processes.

One of the most distinctive aspects of the workshop was the opportunity for academics to step beyond their traditional role as instructors and experience the learning process from the perspective of learners. This experience enabled participants to gain deeper insight into students' diverse learning needs and to evaluate classroom dynamics through a multisensory lens. During the workshop, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ergin Erginer emphasized the importance of empathy, flexibility, and positive communication in teaching, highlighting the contribution of multisensory learning approaches to student-centered instruction.

At the conclusion of the program, participants expressed their satisfaction with the workshop, noting that it had been particularly valuable in increasing their awareness of tactile, visual, and auditory learning processes while providing practical experiences that could be effectively integrated into their own teaching practices.
